UK Center for Excellence in Rural Health - The UK Center for Excellence in Rural Health was established in 1990 to address health disparities in rural Kentucky, including a chronic shortage of health professionals and residents’ poor health status. The center accomplishes this through health professions education, health policy research, health care service and community engagement.
Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative - The mission of the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative is to cause and support educational progress by fostering visionary leadership, positive systemic change, effective communication, cooperation, innovation, and shared responsibility. Through an efficient use of resources so that member districts and all constituents of the educational community improve the ability of every learner to live and work in a global society.
University Center of the Mountains (UCM) - UCM is a dynamic consortium of postsecondary educational institutions bringing more bachelor and master degrees and educational opportunities close to home in southeastern Kentucky. The partnership will add other universities and colleges to deliver more advanced degrees based on student, employer and community demand.
Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) - Since its creation in 1997, KCTCS has become the largest provider of postsecondary education and workforce training in the Commonwealth. In fact, for most Kentuckians, the journey to higher education begins at one of its 16 colleges located on 65 campuses across the state.
